  The Police in Osun have dragged two Yahoo boys, Friday Michael, 23; and Tiamiyu Jelili, 31, before an Osun State Magistrate’s Court sitting in Osogbo, for allegedly attempting to use a commercial sex worker for money ritual. It was gathered that the duo visited a brothel in Osogbo, where they had sexual intercourse with the sex worker. The police prosecutor, Inspector Adeoye Kayode, told the court that the accused persons used a red piece of cloth tied with charms to clean their victim’s private part after having carnal knowledge of her. The police prosecutor alleged that the two men were going to use the lady’s ‘discharge’ for money ritual. He said the defendants had conducted themselves in manner likely to cause breach of peace by going from one brothel to another in search of women to use for money ritual. The 18-year-old indigene of Katsina-Ala in Benue State allegedly committed suicide by ingesting a poisonous substance on Thursday August 6, after being scammed of N100,000 said to be her school fees which she couldn’t pay before the outbreak of Coronavirus. According to an insider, the miscreants were later released to the family who claims that the suspects were family of a land grappers (Omo Onile) in Ejigbo. The Imo State police command has arrested a man and his wife, Goodluck Ogbuji, 28 and Benita Ogbuji, 26 for allegedly inflicting severe wounds on their eight years old son for buying N100 worth of Akara (bean cake), instead of N50 in Umudagu Mbieri, Imo State.  Folllwing the Imo State police command, they had carry out the arrest after been led by two journalists, Chidiebube Okeoma and Harriet Ijeomo to the couple’s residence at Umudagu Mbieri in the Mbaitoli Local Government Area of the state. The arrest of the couple was sequel to a social media post which showed pictures of the severe wounds inflicted on Wisdom. Journalists who took couples of  pictures of the wounds inflicted on the little boy upon arrival at the residence. The Abia state police command has arrested a 17-year-old boy who is identified as Jessy Enogwe for planning to stage a kidnapping of a 75-year-old man in his community. The indigene of Egbede Osisioma Ngwa LGA of Abia State who was arrested on July 21 had used his father's phone to send out threat messages to his victim, asking him to bring him the sum of N50,000 to a certain location or risk being kidnapped and paying the sum of N2m as ransom.  It was further learnt that the septuagenarian has notified SARS operatives of the threat text right before fleeing the village out of fear. Enogwe was subsequently arrested after the report was made.                                       

Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo of the Federal High Court in Lagos has found and sentenced two men, Uche Johnson and Kingsley Meteke, for producing and distributing substandard engine oil. The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has charged both men with four counts of production, possession, dealing in, and distribution of substandard engine oil. Both men who claimed the products were good for public consumption and for optimum engine performance and sold them to unsuspecting buyers. SON said the products failed the Standards Organisation of Nigeria’s (SON) Conformity Assessment Programme (SONCAP). Following  the prosecution, the offense contravened the provisions of sections 1(8) and 1(8)(II) of the Miscellaneous Offences Act, 2004.   Both men who initially pleaded not guilty to the charges levied against them, but later on changed their plea to guilty. Given the judgment, the judge said their sentence will begin from January 27, 2019, when the defendants were arrested.              

The Nigeria Police Force has arrested the rest of two persons involved in the dehumanizing treatment meted out on a female suspect seen at the home of a suspected armed robber and kidnapper.   According to the video of the men harassing the lady went viral on Wednesday, July 22. Justice Abiodun Akinyemi of an Ogun State High Court sitting in Isabo, Abeokuta, has sentenced a 35-year-old man, Adekunle Olalere, to life imprisonment for defiling a two-year-old girl.   The Assistant Chief State Counsel, Mrs Oluyemisi Aruleba, had told the court during the trial that Olalere committed the offence on March 22, 2017, at No. 18 Bashorun Street, off Unity Road, Olowotedo area of Mowe. According to Aruleba, the victim's mother lived with the convict's wife where she helped her to sell foodstuffs and other items. It was during the period that the convict forcefully had sex with the victim.   “The victim’s mother met her two-year-old daughter crying and noticed that she was not walking properly. She checked her daughter’s private parts and noticed that they were swollen. She took the child to the hospital, where it was confirmed that there was presence of sperm cells in her private parts and also revealed that the child had been sexually abused by the convict.” Aru

The last time we reported was how a Deaconess had wickedly tortured a child she had adopted and later made her her house maid. This time it is another report of how a woman had senselessly beating up a child to the point that he is carrying the marks of cane she used in beating him to that extent. According to the Twitter poster who shared the news, he posted how the woman's husband had stayed behind and watch how his wife wickedly beats him up to that level that he now carried the severe marks of the cane as a prove of how she pour her anger to torture him that way.
