  It was a very terrible incident yesterday in a compound that is a face me and face you. A fight had broken out between a man and another neighbor that happens to be a woman. According to the report that we have at hand, the incident that happened in Ejigbo, somewhere in Lagos. The fight that was reported to started four days ago after an older woman who is putting up with her younger sister in the compound had challenges another neighbor's wife that is a nursing mother, that is much younger to her for not incubating the character of greeting. The wife who wasted no time to report the incident to her husband who in turn called the attention of the landlord to the matter. It was later gathered that the landlord had come into the matter and had beg that the matter be put to rest. But yesterday the matter got out of hand after the two neighbors decided to iron out the issue between themselve that later on went bloody after the neighbors uses different weapons on each other.   Suspected serial killer, Sunday Shodipe has narrated how he escaped from Mokola Police Station in Ibadan, Oyo State on Tuesday August 18.  Speaking to newsmen on Sunday August 23, Shodipe said the opportunity to escape from police custody came from police negligence.  The notorious suspect said;   "The new female DPO asked officer Funsho to allow me take my bath. He cautioned me not to try to escape when I am taking my bath.  "I escaped when I saw him discussing with another person. I climbed the borehole pole and jumped the fence.   Three foreigners who have been supplying arms and ammunition to bandits and other criminal groups operating in the North West region of the country, have been arrested by soldiers on internal security operations in Sokoto State.    The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) ???????spokesperson, Major General John Enenche said the suspects were profiled as Nigeriens and were arrested with arms at Dantudu in Mailailai District of Sabon Birni LGA of Sokoto State.   Weapons recovered from them include six AK-47 rifles, three AK-47 rifle magazines and 2,415 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition carefully concealed in various parts of their operational vehicle.   It was further learnt that the suspects are currently undergoing preliminary investigation in military custody, after which they would be handed over to the relevant prosecuting agency.   Eneche added;    “It, therefore, goes to show that some of the security challenges in the country have external influence.   Adewunmi Lawal, the Engineer who has been on the run after allegedly raping his neighbour’s daughter in the Itele, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, has been arrested by the police.    LIB reported earlier that the 16-year-old victim was raped after the suspect broke into their apartment shortly after her mother who is a widow, travelled to Badagry in Lagos State for prayers.   Ogun state police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi said the suspect was arrested in Lagos and the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.   Oyeyemi said;     “He was arrested two days ago.   A 27-year-old man, Abdullahi Salisu, who allegedly assaulted a 100-year-old woman, on Tuesday appeared in an Ile-Ife, Osun State Magistrates’ Court. The Prosecution Counsel, Insp. Sunday Osanyintuyi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Augut 16, 2020 around 3.45PM at Sabo, Ile-Ife. Osanyintuyi alleged that the defendant and others, who are at large, attacked Bintu Adamu and inflicted injuries on her forehead. He alleged that the defendant also assaulted a housewife, Mrs. Uman Adamu, 20. The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of sections 355 and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2020. The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to three counts of conspiracy, assault and causing hurt. The Defence Counsel, Mr. Leke Dada, pleaded for bail for the defendant in most liberal terms.   A Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Minna, Niger State, on Monday August 17, sentenced two brothers, Hassan Bilyaminu and Abdullahi Biliyaminu, who are Islamic clerics, to 22 years imprisonment for raping four girls who were students in their Islamic school in Minna, the state capital.   The suspects were arrested earlier this month and were dragged to the court by the police on two counts charges which include sexual assault and act of gross indecency.    According to the First Information Report (FIR) which was read in court by the Police Prosecutor, Sergeant Bello Mohammed, the offenses committed by the suspects were punishable under Section 285 of the penal code law, as well as Section 19 (2) of the Child’s Right Law of Niger State, 2010.   The charge sheet read “That on the 2nd of August, 2020, one Lawal Idris of Tudun Nasira Area of Maitumbi in Minna, represented three others, and reported that on 31st of July, 2020, you Hassan Bilyaminu and Abdullahi Bilyamiu lured four of the

  The Police in Osun have dragged two Yahoo boys, Friday Michael, 23; and Tiamiyu Jelili, 31, before an Osun State Magistrate’s Court sitting in Osogbo, for allegedly attempting to use a commercial sex worker for money ritual. It was gathered that the duo visited a brothel in Osogbo, where they had sexual intercourse with the sex worker. The police prosecutor, Inspector Adeoye Kayode, told the court that the accused persons used a red piece of cloth tied with charms to clean their victim’s private part after having carnal knowledge of her. The police prosecutor alleged that the two men were going to use the lady’s ‘discharge’ for money ritual. He said the defendants had conducted themselves in manner likely to cause breach of peace by going from one brothel to another in search of women to use for money ritual. The prosecutor explained that the defendants committed the offence on July 21, 2020, at about 9:20pm, at Balogun Agoro area, Osogbo. He added that the complainant (commercial se

  A National Diploma 2 student of the Auchi Polytechnic, Nicholas Victor, has accused some policemen attached to the Kogi State Police Command of extorting money from him because he owns two phones. Victor said he was on his way to Auchi on August 4, 2020 to collect his National ID card when the policemen, who were at a checkpoint at the Okene area of Kogi State, stopped the driver of the bus he was travelling in. He explained that the policemen ordered all the male passengers out of the bus and started checking their phones. The 22-year-old noted that while all the other passengers paid various sums, the officers refused to release him despite offering them N4,200. He said the officers insisted on a bigger sum because he had two phones, adding that his mother was forced to transfer N70,000 into the bank account of one of the officers, identified as John Eshiobugie. The 18-year-old indigene of Katsina-Ala in Benue State allegedly committed suicide by ingesting a poisonous substance on Thursday August 6, after being scammed of N100,000 said to be her school fees which she couldn’t pay before the outbreak of Coronavirus. It was gathered that the deceased invested the money in a ponzi scheme in which she was told she will get double of her investment within minutes.
